Larissa's story...

LARISSA:
Larissa is the loving mother of 3 precious children. She, like so many others, has come to terms with the harsh reality that she will have to provide 100% of the emotional, physical and financial needs for her children because the dad has chosen not to be in the picture. She is a strong, Christian woman who has devoted her life to raising her children in a Godly home. Larissa is teaching them to never give up and always trust that God will take care of them. She has become our inspiration for Faith, Hope, Love, Ministries. This is a non-profit organization that will benefit Larissa today, but with your help, it will benefit many single parent families in the future.

HER SITUATION:
Madi 6, Kyle 4, and Mason 1 have a mother who works full time as well as an at-home job. She, like so many other single parents, does not receive child support to help provide for essential monthly necessities such as rent, utilities, groceries, school supplies etc. Even with court appointed child support, the attorney generals process takes time and time is not a luxury that Larissa has right now. With 3 children, her monthly expenses are higher than her income and she has a very immediate need for help. Despite the access of governmental agencies and the God-send of help she had early on, she is financially stretched to the max.

WHAT YOU CAN DO:
The daily struggle of how to pay rent and other necessary bills is always looming for parents who are raising children “on their own”. By itself, $20 per month wouldn’t do a lot for Larissa’s family. However, several people donating $20 per month would help compensate for the lack of child support. Because of her immediate needs, we are asking everyone who reads this to consider making a monthly contribution to Larissa and her family. A monthly pledge of $20 over the next 12 months would allow her to get back on her feet, consistently plan and budget for the family and make appropriate preparations for the future. Funds above her monthly needs would go into a savings account for emergencies and then given to another parent who also needs assistance. The short-term goal is to help provide financial stability for Larissa. The long-term goal is to provide similar assistance to as many families as possible. Faith, Hope, Love, Ministries is geared towards providing resources and temporary financial assistance to single parents in need; the possibilities are endless.

In a recent entry to her blog, Larissa wrote:
“God looks at things so differently than I do. I see a mess; he see’s beauty. What I see as bad, he uses to make good. He never told me how long it would take, but he did ask me to trust him, that he is in control of it all”.

I hope you see the possibilities and impact that your contribution could have not only for Larissa, but for others as well. Who knows what God’s wisdom and power has in store for your $20? A non-profit bank account has been set up in the name of Faith, Hope, Love Ministries at American State Bank, 1800 West Division St, Slaton TX, 79364. All donations can be sent directly to the bank and should be made to Faith, Hope Love Ministries for Larissa Gordon. They would need to be posted by the 10th of each month. If God has placed it in your heart to help with this genuine need, please send an e-mail to faithhopeloveministries08@yahoo.com with the following information:
1. Can you commit to $20 for the next 12 months?
2. Can we list your name as someone who has chosen to participate, or would you rather remain anonymous?
3. Would you rather send a donation directly to Larissa?
If interested, there are other options available to help with her needs, such as direct payments to LP&L, landlord, phone company, etc. We believe with all of our hearts that this is God’s will and he will bless our efforts to help so many others in similar situations. Although this ministry is still in the initial stages, we believe that your generosity and Christ-like spirits will be rewarded greatly. If you plan to contribute, please e-mail us at the above address. That will allow us to answer any questions that you might have or help with any arrangements necessary. Also, feel free to forward this website to others and leave comments. It will be updated frequently so that everyone can see how God is working and the results that are being produced.

If you choose not to help with this particular cause, please find another one that is near to your heart. So many of us have been richly blessed and what a blessing to give back to others in need. Please keep Larissa, her family, and the other families like hers in your prayers. Thank you and God bless.

**Since this is officially a non-profit organization, records of your donations will be available for tax purposes.
